Not For Everyone

The Uncrowned Stuart Queen Louise de Stolberg

Comtesse d'Albany and Conte Vittorio Alfieri

Presented in two volumes which have been welcomed into

the Biblioteca Marucelliana located in Florence, Italy

Wife of the vanquished Bonnie Prince Charles Edward

of the royal house of Stuart and the 1745 rebellion,

Princesse Louise Maximilienne Caroline Emanuele and

would-be Queen of Britain, France, and Ireland said,

“The most impossible things sometimes come to pass

in this world, whilst the most likely often fail to occur.”

In this, she echoed her romantic lover, Alfieri Vittorio,

Italian nationalist, who claimed that often the test of

courage is not to die but to live.

Louise had the courage to dream and she kept their

dreams alive. Her fascinating story as a prominent

salonnière provides a collective human platform from

which to contemplate our lives in the 21st century,

a century that sometimes feels like an equally

dangerous and challenging time.

A Number in the Heart An Amira Margaret Thriller

Resistance and oppression. We very often try to breath them out in the same sentence to make a point that both sides are equally to blame. But this is not so.

Amira  is caught in a mysterious voyage, involved in untimely murders, and spun around by the chaos in the Middle East. She boards a yacht at the last minute heading south from Cyprus. With Antoine, a captivating yet elusive captain at the helm and a shadowy guest aboard, she soon finds herself entangled in a web of dangerous secrets.

Beneath the serene surface, the yacht becomes a microcosm of the complex political tensions of the volatile and dangerous Middle East.
With few leads to follow, Amira jostles her way through the secrets of Cairo and Alexandria in an attempt to solve her dilemma. Is she in danger herself? Is she the prime murder suspect? Is she unravelling a conspiracy with massive repercussions and political implications or is she simply caught in an unfortunate domestic dispute?
As the journey unfolds, Amira is continually thrust into a maelstrom of murder, deception, and global power plays. Every decision has consequences. Her resolve is tested as the stakes grow and deadlines draw nearer. Set in 1988 and propelled by true events, Amira’s story delivers a message for the turmoil we experience today.
A Number in the Heart is the third book in the series following The Number is Thirteen and Building Number Four.

I've given BEAUTY AND ASHES to my Mennonite father to read for enjoyment but especially for medicine. This story is all too similar for millions of people. By simply sharing and 'passing it forward', we help others heal and understand.

Loved the book  BEAUTY AND ASHES. It was very moving and the main character -- what a phenomenally strong woman.

Very impressive.

I liked it!

I can hardly wait for the sequel to

BUILDING NUMBER FOUR !

The writing was very good and quite easy to follow ... many persons (like me) enjoy reading as entertainment – a bit of an
escape. Themes are well developed and use vivid imagery to add depth to the narrative. Overall, I enjoyed reading this story.  Whistler Independent Book Awards 2021
