A Journey Out of the Ukraine

RED SKY offers striking parallels to present day events in the continuing right to obtain freedom and a better life. The narrative portrays the hardships, temptations, struggles, and discriminations suffered. The narrative focuses on the eventual outcome for a particular family and especially, Theo, a Mennonite youth living in the Ukraine. RED SKY while fictional, is based on many true experiences which were shared by those unfortunate youths who found themselves in the SS, the Russian army, and the German army against their will. Many were lucky to not have firsthand knowledge of all the traumatic and devastating experiences of World War II which are disclosed in this book. Theo, however, has a fate of his own. Remembrance is justice. For without justice there is no peace.
